    helpful staff

    Suitable for outdoor enthusiasts

The location is perfect for mountain biking, right at the doorstep of amazing trails. The super nice team, helping me with bike wash facilities and even recommended good spots to hit the trails.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but honestly, you get what you pay for.

    room decor
    noise levels

fine views of Afan Valley, mountain biking access, outdoor seating with scenic views

The bathroom fixtures could use a thorough check!!! I also found the outdated room decor quite uninspiring and subpar compared to modern standards. Don't get me started on the noise from the bar area slamming doors throughout the night!!!

    tasty dinner
    warm shower
    cozy lounge
    bed making

After a day of biking, coming back to a warm shower and a tasty dinner really hit the spot! It was nice to kick back in the cozy lounge and take in the beautiful views. Just a minor hiccup was having to make our own beds, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊

    spacious room
    friendly staff
    great food
    tired bathroom
    old shower curtain

Wow, what an amazin place! The room was big and comfy with a huge bed, and i really appreciated the warm, dry atmosphere after a long day outside in the rain. Food was super good too, had a great meal at the restaurant. Staff were really nice and helpful. A fab stay!

the bathroom could've used a little upgrade, and my shower curtain was kinda gray n old school.

    soft mattress
    shower control issues

The room was clean n spacious. The bed was super comfy n the views of the mountains were just fantasic. Food in the restaurant was lovely, breakfast was really good with a nice view too. Staff were friendly and really helpful.

only downside was the mattress could be a bit more firm n the shower had a strong flow but was tough to control sometimes.

It was just a great fit for a weekend getaway in Port Talbot with attractive and competitive value for money. The staff were friendly, but when I requested a late checkout, things got a bit tricky, disappointing. Be clear about your checkout time to avoid any confusion.

    fine views
    secure bike storage
    mountain biking
    dated bathrooms

Fine views of the Afan Valley make for a nice backdrop, especially from the King Room with Mountain View. The secure bike storage is a nice touch for outdoor enthusiasts, ensuring peace of mind while exploring the mountains.

Soundproofing in the Richard Burton Room is nearly nonexistent, allowing every noise from neighbors in room 2 to disrupt sleep. The bathrooms across different rooms feel dated and could really use a refresh. Pillows are oversized and firm, compounded by potential noise from the kitchen. While the food at the lodge has plenty of options, some items weren't available , leaving a bit to be desired.

    homemade organic products
    hearty breakfast
    cozy beds
    payment confusion

The homemade organic goodies at the lodge are sheer magic, and the local eats are a culinary delight. The breakfast spread was great, loaded with hearty options! Plus, the beds were cozy enough for a good night's rest after a long day of exploring.

We booked to avoid a storm, but after arriving, we found the dining fully booked-should've been told at check-in, right? A stressful Saturday night dash ensued. Plus, check-out was a bit of an awkward mess with payment confusion.

    amazing views
    friendly staff
    warm room
    noise issues
    short stay

A fantastic spot for outdoor enthusiasts. The location offers amazing views, and the proximity to mountain biking trails is unrivaled. The made-to-order sandwiches were a highlight, perfectly satisfying after a day of adventure. While the room was spacious, it was quite warm, and I could hear some noise from the adjoining rooms at times. The warm hospitality from the staff was great.
